Christopher Loomis is a furniture maker and artist located in Alameda California. His studio specializes in heirloom quality furniture, sculpture and home accessories that blur the lines between art, craft, function and form. His work has been exhibited widely in such venues as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the Museum of Craft and Design. Christopher has collaborated on projects with leading designers and artists in England, Japan, and Indonesia. In 2012 he served as a guest professor at Beijing’s Central Academy of Fine Arts. He currently teaches in the Furniture and First Year Program at California College of the Arts and has recently been awarded CCA's 2019-2020 impact research fellowship.
