Christopher Loomis                  

Christopher Loomis is an artist located in the mountains of southern NewTaipei City. His studio specializes in mixed media furniture, sculpture, sound and drawing. His recent work explores the relationship to sound and historical artifacts. He has exhibited in venues such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design, Yerbs Buena Center for the Arts as well as participating in projects and residencies in the US, England, Indonesia and Taiwan. Christopher has held teaching positions at California College of the Arts in San Francisco and The Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing China. He is also a regular visiting artist at Tainan National University for the Arts in Taiwan.
